Call for participation

Welcome to IBW2007, which will be organized by Shandong University in Weihai city, China from June 24 to 26, 2007. This workshop will cover the top subjects on computational genomics, computational proteomics, computational systems biology and biological data mining. The annual International Bioinformatics Workshop(IBW) continues the series of four previous workshops, which took place at Fudan University, Shanghai (2003), Tsinghua University, Beijing (2004), Jilin University, Changchun (2005) and Central South University, Changsha(2006). The workshop aims at scientific communication for researchers at the cutting edge of progress in bioinformatics and related research fields. The first two days of the workshop (June 24-25) will involve invited presentations, given by leading professionals from China , USA , Canada and other countries, and report the latest research findings in bioinformatics and computational biology. The third day of the workshop (June 26) will be for contributed presentations and provide a friendly and flexible environment for researchers from all over the world to exchange their ideas and improve the cooperation.

Like the previous meeting, this year's IBW meeting will have a 5-day "tutorial" from 19 to 23 June, named the dragon-star teaching project completely supported by NSFC of China( http://dragonstar.ict.ac.cn ), taught by Dr. Xiaole Shirley Liu of Harvard University. This will be a great oppotunity for students and junior teacher to attend.
